How LendingTree Rates Credit Cards?
Our experts rate credit cards based on several factors including card benefits, bonus offers and independent research. Credit card issuers do not influence or have a say in our card ratings. Read our credit card methodology here.If your business spends a large amount on company expenses each month, you have the potential to earn a generous amount of rewards with the Ink Business Premier® Credit Card.
Along with a hefty sign-up bonus and 5% cash back on travel purchased through Chase Ultimate Rewards, cardholders earn unlimited 2.5% total cash back on purchases of $5,000 or more and unlimited 2% cash back on all other business purchases. This is one of the highest rates of cash back around, especially for businesses who surpass the $5,000 spending threshold each month.
Just know, the Ink Business Premier® Credit Card doesn’t earn Ultimate Rewards points, so you can’t transfer rewards to travel partners or other Chase credit cards. You should also know that the card charges a $195 annual fee and requires cardholders to pay their balance in full each month (although some purchases may be eligible to pay off over time with interest).
We’ll highlight the pros and cons of the Ink Business Premier® Credit Card, as well as show how it compares to similar cards, to help you determine if it’s the right pick for you.

Rewards can be redeemed for cash back, travel, Amazon.com and PayPal purchases, gift cards, Apple products and more.
Sign-up bonus
The Ink Business Premier® Credit Card offers one of the highest sign-up bonuses currently available from a business credit card: Cardholders earn $1,000 bonus cash back after you spend $10,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.
Travel benefits
The Ink Business Premier® Credit Card comes with a number of valuable travel benefits, including trip cancellation and interruption insurance, trip delay reimbursement, baggage delay insurance, auto rental collision damage waiver and travel and emergency assistance services. In addition, the card charges $0 in foreign transaction fees.
Cell phone protection
When you use your Ink Business Premier® Credit Card to pay your monthly cell phone bill, you’ll receive cell phone protection of up to $1,000 per claim against covered theft or damage. Coverage also applies to any employees listed on your cell phone bill.
Note, however, that you are allowed a maximum of three claims in a 12-month period, with a $100 deductible per claim.
Does not earn Ultimate Rewards points
If you’re looking to maximize the value of your rewards by transferring them to a travel partner or combining them with Ultimate Rewards from other Chase cards, beware that you won’t be able to with Ink Business Premier® Credit Card.
High spend requirement to earn bonus
Although the Ink Business Premier® Credit Card offers an extremely high sign-up bonus, it also requires cardholders to spend $10,000 in the first three months of card membership to earn it.
By comparison, many other rewards cards only require cardholders to spend $3,000 in the first three months to earn the sign-up bonus.
Annual fee
The Ink Business Premier® Credit Card charges a $195 annual fee.
That said, the value you can get from the card’s sign-up bonus more than covers that amount during the first year of card membership. You should also know that there’s no additional cost for employee cards.
Must pay some purchases in full each month
The Ink Business Premier® Credit Card is a pay-in-full card — meaning, you’ll have to pay your balance in full each month. The card does, however, offer the option to pay for eligible purchases over time, up to your Flex for Business limit (subject to a Flex for Business Variable APR: 18.99% - 26.99%).
If you prefer a business credit card with a $0 annual fee and an interest-free period on purchases — and you don’t mind earning a slightly lower sign-up bonus and cash back rate on general purchases — the Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card may be a better fit.
The card offers a 0% Intro APR on Purchases for 12 months; after that, a 17.99% - 23.99% Variable APR applies.
In addition, as a cardholder, you can earn a Earn $750 bonus cash back after you spend $6,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening. Plus, you can also earn unlimited 1.5% cash back on every purchase made for your business. Rewards can be redeemed for cash back, travel, gift cards or merchandise.
And although the Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card doesn’t come with cell phone protection, it does still offer purchase protection, extended warranty protection auto rental collision damage waiver, roadside dispatch and travel and emergency assistance services.

The Ink Business Premier® Credit Card is one of the most rewarding cards you will find for small businesses — if you spend a large amount on business purchases each month, that is. For example, to earn the sign-up bonus, you’ll need to spend $10,000 in the first three months of card membership. In addition, you can only earn the highest cash back rate on purchases of $5,000 or more. That said, the card does offer a solid cash back rate on all other purchases.
But if you don’t spend enough to justify the $195 annual fee, the Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card may be a better choice. Along with a flat cash back rate on every purchase, the card charges a $0 annual fee — plus, the card offers an intro APR on purchases for a year.
