How LendingTree Rates Credit Cards?
Our experts rate credit cards based on several factors including card benefits, bonus offers and independent research. Credit card issuers do not influence or have a say in our card ratings. Read our credit card methodology here.If you’re an occasional traveler, the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card provides a great opportunity to earn a solid rewards rate on every purchase without being tied to one specific airline or hotel loyalty program.
Along with flexible reward redemption options, the card offers a simple earning rate of 2 Miles per dollar on every purchase, every day; 5 Miles per dollar on hotels, vacation rentals and rental cars booked through Capital One Travel.
While the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card does charge a $95 annual fee, benefits such as a Global Entry/TSA PreCheck credit can help make up for that amount each year.
That said, if you want to squeeze even more value from your credit card rewards, as well as have access to more robust travel and shopping protections, the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card may be a better fit.
